FOX fax decoder software

New features

  • Conversion of sound record of B&W or colour fax communication into original graphical view of the document.
  • Reading and examining facsimiles from recorded sound.
  • Printing, sending through e-mail, archiving, importing facsimiles into other documents.
  • The eventuality of distinguishing cracked, parts only and inferior facsimiles which are not readable by other equipment on the market.
  • Two-channel voice recording capability with real time processing and printing.
  • Automatic processing of WAV files saved in the shared input directory in server mode. Tested capacity over 1000 faxes/day.
  • Optical character recognition module is available for conversion TIF to TXT.

General characteristics

The Fox software is purely software product allowing conversion of audio-record of facsimile transmutation into raster pictures. No special hardware is required to process decoding; the standard powerful PC is enough. The solution used is very untraditional and probably unique among similar products. The Fox is using sophisticated algorithms. The decoder is able to discover incomplete or corrupted records thanks to implemented know-how and optional manual settings. The software allows configuring many parameters that empower to use it for decoding non-standard formats. The process of conversion is very computation demanding and it is optimised for Intel Pentium processors.

The recording of facsimile transmission may be processed practically on any equipment with applicable parameters. There are devices such as DAT or minidisk recorders with phone adapter or high-throughput digital multi-line systems from reputable vendors. The miniature digital recorder Scale do fit to this application. The digital record is transferred on the PC into standard PC sound form called WAV. These files are then work up by Fox program. The software generates raster pictures in PC standard form called TIFF. These pictures are possible to manipulate in the usual ways view, zoom in, zoom out, rotate and print. The functions are directly implemented in Fox software and may be done by any other MS Windows application. If it is required, the pictures may be imported into other documents and sent via e-mail too. The possibilities of Fox are very large and diverse.

There is offered also modification into on-line fax decoder using PC sound cards and special interface to connect to phone line on demand.
